What's the latest opinion on bike lifts/paddock stands for the Rocket III? I'm particularly interested in the type like the ones from Jack Lilley or Raask. On these, you insert bolts provided on the lift into the frame and, using the lever arm, just lift the rear of the bike. In essence, it's like a removable center stand. It seems it would work very well and be particularly good for changing tires or for just storing the bike upright. Anyone had experience with these?

Overall I think that it was a good purchase for putting the bike up for the winter. The lever is a bit short and it is tricky to get the bike onto and off of it. Too much of a pain in the *@@ to put it up every night. I bought it through Jack Lilley and I thought it was pricey for what I got. It does work though.

I agree it is a good purchase. I got mine from Advanced Bike Stands (www.advancedbikestands.co.uk). Good for the winter lay up and for cleaning need to put an inch thick piece of wood under the side stand to make it easier to put on and off, a mod with a spring loaded jig pin on the lever side would make it really easy. When on the stand can move handle on through the pivot point to make it very secure. I drilled a hole though the handle and pivot at this point and added a padlock so it is a further security device.
