Carlini Super Sweeps

Carlini site

I may look at these bars later this year, I just want a Rocket first. It looks like I may finally be looking at purchase in next two months.

Thanks guys. I like the Thunderbike model as it requires no mods. The Carlini looks cool but would require some drilling. Thanks for the help to you both.

Yea I like the drag bar look to was just wondering if they'll be in the way when raising the gas tank? If you want these bars though, there cheaper at www.newr3.com. $239 beats $300 any day.

Well, technically those are NZ$ which converts to US $232.88 including shipping. The few $$ you'd save buying from them instead of newr3 might not be worth the wait getting them from NZ.

You bring up an interesting point though. If you have to tilt the gauges forward to lift the tank, you'll to loosen the bars and tilt them forward too. If possible anyway. Maybe the uprights would interfere with the top clamp and they have to be completely removed to raise the tank. I assume there is enough play in cables and wires to allow this.
I'm kind of liking these too. I'd like bars with more of a lean forward/aggressive stance, so what I'd like to see is a picture directly from the side to see how much forward they are, if at all, in relation to stock.

Anyone out there tried these?

Thank you, sir! I'll have to do some comparisons. In the meantime here is what the nice folks at Thunderbike had to say about the gauge clearance issue;

We think that you will have to slacken the handlebar mounts and rotate the bars in the clamps to allow the instruments to hinge.
Actually we had to think this out since the Rocket has such long service intervals we have never had to actually do a service to a bike fitted with T bars as yet.
( Or one not fitted with T bars for that matter) .

Best Regards
Jason Howcroft.

I bought tbars from thunderbike for my R3 and they delivered ( to Canada) within 7 days from my placing the order! I was quite impressed with the turnaround time. Even with shipping they were still less expencive than comperable local alternantives.

Hats off to Thunderbike - I'd buy from them anytime.

Well, 'Rat, tell us more! How do you like them? Are they much taller or farther forward than stockers? And does it look like they just rotate forward to let the gauges move? Any noticeable increase in steering effort since they are narrower? Are you tired of my questions yet? How about now?
