Well we were up to a ride yesterday. Went to Luckenbach for a bit. Came out of Restroom (too much caffeine, sorry no booze for me) and low and behold! There was a 2006 Gold one parked behind my yellow one! Imagine the thought of that! He was gonna take my glory away! ha ha. Walked up to the bikes and got to talking to him. He is out of San Antonio. Drove all the way to North Carolina for his bike. Was having problem finding one in Texas that was the gold. Also, didn't like prices here. He got this one for $13,900 out the door! Wow! We were impressed. Ours was $15,900 but then we got about $1,000 of accessories. He had a pretty lady passenger with him who is hoping for a better pad to sit on. Didn't get to visit long, but he is working with a guy out of New York that makes custom leather bags. This guy is supposed to design something for around $300. From the description I got the impression they will resemble the corbin bags but leather. Will compliment the rear fender good. I invited him to locate our owner site and log in to it. So hopefully we will hear from him soon. And when he gets his bags can donate pictures for anyone interested. He has already registered with RAT. I couldn't remember the link address for here to help him find us. So if we haven't heard an introduction from him by this weekend I will take the address with me to a run in Boerne that he is supposed to be at.

Y'all going to the Massacre? I haven't been in a couple of years and doesn't look like I will make it this year either, although I DO intend on getting some riding in this weekend! I'm off for 4 days.. of course, they're calling for rain.. lol Hopefully, here's a pic of my bike with corbin accessories added yesterday..

Pretty Nice! I was thinking yours was a Black One. So I was right about two black ones. I am trying so hard to exercise restraint and not order those bags, yet. Would like to pay cash not throw on another credit card. I know you are enjoying yours.

I am sending you a PM about the weekend. I know you will see it. Where ever you are going on your 4 days off hope it is Good!

Sure! Just show up at Luckenbach one weekend when I am there! I guess I am just excitable! Especially when it comes to Rocket III owners and their bikes!

Does the new scorched yellow look like a gold color in the sun? All of the pictures I have seen look like yellow. Since you saw it yesterday RidinSunshine maybe you can fill us in... Does anybody have any good sunny day pictures of the new 06 Rocket III Scorched Yellow color?

thanks,
trey

It is a shade of yellow definately. But a darker color than mine. Don't want to upset him but reminds me of dried mustard. But of course I am prejudice :-D

Ok guys and girls here I am. I enjoyed meeting with you yesterday and I was as surprised as you when I pulled up behind your bike. I'd only seen one other R3 in Texas and that was in San Antonio and was orange. SO was I surprised when the next one I see is Yellow. At first I thought it was the same colour but on careful inspection I could see the difference.

Here is The New Ride

We will be at Massacre as always because it is a Gypsy event and we are Gypsies. So I hope we will see you there.

Oh Yeah BTW this bike really GOES!!!!! :-D :-D :-D
