Hi, I wonder if anybody can help?
I have just bought a complete Datatool (Triumph OEM) alarm for the Rocket, can anybody advise where it is fitted, I'm told that it goes under the tank and is clamped to the coil bracket, but I've lifted the tank and it isn't that obvious where it goes, also the wiring??..any help or photo's much appreciated.
Regards

Hi Bonnie.
I have an Acumen alarm on order for my R3.
My understanding is that the Acumen alarm is mounted under the left hand side panel, I do not see why it should be mounted in a different place to the Datatool alarm.
The Acumen alarm is basically the same as for all 2000on Triumphs except the R3 alarm has a longer wiring loom for making the connection under the tank.
I will try to find out more......and come back to you..
TF.

The Datatool Alarm is mounted under the tank and is held between the frame and number one coil holder bracket.

To gain access to the coil holder mounting bolt you must remove the radiator. Its a royal PIA to fit.

Have your dealer do it for you and save some hair!! :-D
