Warntire.......... Check out Aussiebiker.com.au

I just sent them my original pillion seat and they do an upgrade to make it longer, wider and thicker. When I get their upgrade back I'm going to get the drivers back rest from Utopia.com.

Hope this helps

Originalice....wow, I had no idea you had a spill. I must have missed that on another post. Glad to see you are healing well and found a beau!

Pianoman, welcome aboard as well. I have the Utopica backrest and love it. An excellent addition to the bike.

A Fatboy is not even on the same planet as the Rocket. As for a v-max, yes they are fast over 6,000 rpm, but weak as a kitten on bottom end. The Rocket is making max torque at 2000 rpm. Much more fun to ride, and handles better too.

[My v-max experiance involves one several years old, not sure how the new one will be.]

My name is Earl.

I have been looking at the Rocket III since it first came out. At that time, I was riding a BMW K1200LT. I sold that last year, and remember how nicely the Rocket III felt under me on the showroom floor.

I have mostly owned V-Twins, but could never take the step down in performance to drive a Harley. Honda Shadow 1000, Kawasaki Vulcan 1500, then the BMW. Got sick of the vibrations in the V-Twins. When I saw the Rocket III I figured I had found a great solution, a crusier with 3 cylinders! Awesome!

I have been doing my research on the net and this forum to make sure I have found the right bike for me. It is great to have a forum like this where you can research this type of purchase.

I have test ridden the bike, but due to the traffic in the area, I was confined to doing circles in a parking lot. I am going to head out to a more country setting dealer so I can take it out for a real test run soon. :???:
