Hi,

Just joined the forum. I have been reading some threads the past few months to learn more about the Rocket and what everyone’s experience has been. Thanks, it has been helpful.

Bought a Red/White R3 Classic a couple days ago. Only put a couple miles on it due to the cold weather but that should be changing soon. I ordered a windshield, fuel gauge and clock for me and the sissy bar/seat back for the wife. With the weather forecast I should have time to get the items on the bike before then next warm day (trying to look at the bright side).

Does anyone know if the license relocation bracket will work with the Corbin Beetle Bags? From the photos it doesn’t look like they will work together.

Thanks again, hope to see ya on the road, soon!

Brian

Well I went an did it. I bought Rons (Aussiekeeper) 2005 R3, picked her up yesterday in San Diego and had a muttha of a "getting to know you" spin back to San Jose.

I think my arms are about 2 inches longer and my ass is made of titanium today. Cant wait to see how she does in the mountains :-)

Good Day all! Just dropped in to say hey! NoVa resident here, and just (re)-discovered what 'Trumps' :-D getting around in a truck! Anyway, the campaign at home has begun, and its gonna be a tuffy. Wife wants a sailboat, I want an R3, so need to figure out how to do both! Seriously, I have been lurking for about 5 days, and really just discovered this marvelous beast, so am still in awe of what Triumph has done. Never really liked the rice rocket style, and think an R3 Classic might just fit the bill! Was wondering if anyone had knowledge of 'feel' differences between the R3 and the so called "Classic", esp the stock handlebars. I posted pretty much the same question on a thread called "Classic or Standart[sic]"
Again, Hey! Flip in Vienna

Welcome Guys!!! Thanks for posting an intro. I hope to see a lot of posts from all of you! :-D

Hey davidhp57... I have a Fastgun and really like it. Its good for a couple of hours befroe numbutt sets in. Way better than stock, maybe not as good as some custom made seats. It looks super, and you have to take that into account. What good is a comfy seat if it looks bad? For very long trips I might try an airhawk or something similar on it.

Tomo

Welcome Davidhp57! Ah, yes, the Corbin Fast Gun? Or is it the Corbin Sore Bum?

Should know. I endure both.

"Looks good, feels bad", 'jast as the ghetto rap song goes, Bro's.

PS. Not all that bad, really, but don't sit on it for more than a couple of hours.

Hey everybody,
Just purchased a black 2005 R3. Besides the insurance costs, it's everything I've always wanted in a bike. I just closed the deal today and will be picking up sometime in the next few days. Can't wait to get on it!
I discovered this board a few days ago and have already spent several hours on it. Great stuff you got going on here.
See ya around,
Tall Tx Guy
