Hello everyone. I just joined today. I ride a 2005 Rocket III. To date, I have ridden 21,450 miles with no problems other than worn out tires. I am retired, and I have plenty of time to ride around. I am USAF retired, Raytheon Systems retired, and SAP Consultant retired. Started riding in 1956 on a Zundap. The bikes are so much better today, than in yester-year.

Greetings from a new member in southcentral PA. I'm Dan and ride an '05 Rocket that you may have seen in the Best of the Best article in Torque magazine (my name was typo'd as Day Moyer). It was chosen as one of the top 25 customs internationally. I bought my ride in June of '05 after a sudden case of love-at-first-sight while breezing through the showroom at Triumph of Windber. Have shown her once and taken first in my class....am planning on more shows this year. Will try to post a pic or two on the forum. I've been a Trump rider since 1977 and have mostly owned and ridden all pre-'72 bikes. Still have a '69 Daytona in the garage that has been in the works for 9 or ten years now.....it'll soon see the light of day. I graduated to my Rocket from a Speedmaster and have never looked back. My woman and I live to ride and have done the Dragon as well as numerous other rides that have been a source of permanent grins. Am looking forward to meeting more of my 'neighbors' on the road, local or otherwise, and am always on the prowl for the next poker run, charity ride, etc., etc. Hope to meet you all in the flesh at some point........RIDE FREE. Dan

JB, from Rochester, NY here. Thought I'd stop by and see what you Triumph owners are talking about. Got back into riding after a long child raising hiatus back in 99. I like a bike with a lot of torque, good cornering ability (for a cruiser), touring functionalityand one that is easy to find in a sea of HD's. The Rocket 3 has my attention....The tourer especially. Never ridden one. Hope to do so this year. It smells like a whole lotta motorcycle for a very reasonable price.

Hi all,

I'm a 27 year old bloke from Oz who has been drooling over the Rocket since I first saw preview pics of one in a magazine. I have ridden trail bikes since I was 10, got my first road bike at 20 (Kwaka ZZR-250) then upgraded to a Honda Blackbird. After a bastard cabbie took me out of the saddle of the 'bird, my back was too rooted to ride a sportsbike, and this is how I discovered the Rocket.

This year I finally got my hands on a Triumph Rocket III Classic, and by the gods, I am impressed.

I'll be posting pics in the photos thread, so come check 'em out!

Good to be here.

Peace.

I brought my R3 in August 2006, two weeks later took it on a 8800Km ride, from Melbourne to Cairns and back. Found out all about it's various strengths & weaknesses on our rough Aussie roads. A cruiser with real brakes and some decent grunt, pity about the ***** stock suspension. It eats rear tyres every 5000Km to 6000Km with hard cornering.

Hi everyone

Have enjoyed reading all the various articles on the forum over the last few weeks. Just had a superb 2 hour test ride on a Rocket Classic today and ended up buying the demonstrator from Phillip McCallen's in Lurgan, NI. Service and helpfulness of all the staff was first class. I have never been in a bike shop were the staff were so engrossed in the brand and not just trying to make a sale, very refreshing. Collecting the bike this weekend and cannot wait. Have owned and ridden numerous bikes in the last 29 years and this is by far the best.

Sorry, should have introduced myself; David, living in Northern Ireland, dog trainer, 46 yrs old, married, two children (son 17yrs and daughter 15yrs). Wife, son and daughter arguing over who is first pillion, (haven't told them that first ride is sole)

Extra Motorcycle: Mmmm yes please
Hi all,
Picked up an 04 R3 two weeks ago rode 200 miles home and spent the next two hours cleaning it. I overtook a gritter on the motorway, which is not rcomended. Am now waiting for the salt to clear before blatting around North Wales.
Advice to new Rocketeers looking for insurance in the UK go to r111ownersclub.co.uk and click on the link to ebike insurance. I got better cover than Norwich Union offered for less than half the price!
