Stablemate for Rocket...

Hi,
Long time lurker and my first post on the Rocket forum. I have enjoyed my Rocket III for the last year and am considering a lighter Triumph as a garage companion. I wonder if other Rocket owners own other Triumphs and if so which one? I have wide taste in motorcycles and am maybe considering a bonneville or thruxton for some back road scratching. Will I be underwelmed by lack of power?
Many thanks

Can't really justify a second bike just now, but if we were to have one it would likely be a Bonnie. Love them Bonnies.

We trudge on.

If I go bonnie, I need to decide if bonnie versus thruxton. I like the kit on the thruxton which includes alloy wheels and smaller front wheel etc, but not sure how the rearsets would be especially after riding the Rocket. Anybody here have both a Rocket and a thruxton?
An older Tbird sport maybe an option OMMC. I thought maybe a Street triple could be in my future after reading all the rave reviews, but rode one and the thing felt like a BMX bike to me.

I don't own a Rocket but I'll reply anyway. I had a BMW R1200RT and felt a need for something to add to the garage for fun. I looked at the Thruxton and T100. I got the T100 and absolutely loved it. It was a blast to ride, although I suspect the Thruxton would be just as much fun if not more. I got rid of it because I really could justify having only one bike. So I also sold the RT and got myself a Thunderbird. I really enjoy the Thunderbird but now my wife is starting to go on longer rides with me and so I test drove a Rocket Touring. It's a great ride and I'm thinking of trading my Tbird for the Rocket. And if I ever decide to get a second bike again, I think a Rocket and a Bonnie (T100 or Thruxton) would be a perfect pair. My other pairing might be the Rocket and a Tiger.

Decisions, decisions. Just don't know about the rearsets as they seem to fold my longish legs up a bit too much. So I am a bit torn between bonnie and thrux as I like many aspects of the thruxton...a bit more boy racer than the bonnie. One option I suppose other than retrofitting bonnie foot controls would be to lower thruxton rearsets for a bit more legroom. May just have to take the dive and find out.

I have a 2010 Scrambler to go with my Rocket.
They play well together!

That would be a good option. Scram has even more legroom than the Bonnie.
Thanks

I had my Bonnie before my Rocket.

I love the Bonnie for the (relatively) light weight, handling, agility and classic looks. I got the Rocket Touring to do 2up since neither of us are thin. They compliment each other perfectly while both being lookers and attention getters.
