Check this out...

1957 Plymouth

Now this story is strange all by itself but... check out this pic where they are putting the car into the capsule:

If you can... put this image into your photo software and blow it up. If you look twords the upper left hand corner (past the 55 Chevy) there is a 1967 Buick sitting under the sign. Abraham Lincoln and a Civil war photographer are standing next to the hole... and in the back row of people standing on the bleachers there is a man with a dog's head and the little kid in front of him appears to be some sort of Alfred E. Newman look alike.

What's up with that????

Intriguing. Reminds me of an early/mid '90 novel by Stephen King or perhaps Peter Straub. A thread within the horror story was that all remaining village or family pics taken in the 30's were showing the smiling or demented face of a clown who evidently could not possibly have been there when those pics had been taken.

A ancient curse coming back... impersonated... in a funny or anachronistic disguise... next to a car that was only produced a decade later (*)... only on b&w prints... Spooky

Didn't Jim Croce write and sing a song about this...something like..."If I could save time in a capsule".....??

Regarding "Lincoln", look close and he has a full beard and moustache. All the pics I have seen of Lincoln are sans stache.

Personally, I think what the photo is saying is that Paul McCartney is dead.

I rember reading about that car in Collector Automobile magazine 20 odd years ago as a kid!!!!!!
1 year 7 months?

Maybe I'll go to Tulsa for that.

Obviously "Lincoln" is in a costume... but the photog next to him is straaange... and that kid is just plain scary...

And I see Panama Jack is there along with the Keystone cops...and I think Rick James. A weird and fun pic to be sure.

Greaser... I would like to show up for that also... maybe Geraldo Rivera will MC it :-D , there might be more people there to unpack a rustball than there was to put it in the ground.
