I'm using the kid's account because he has it auto loaded on my computer, sorry bout that.

I reserve highest regard (respect) for the sculptor of the wheel, not for the guy that can afford to buy them and have them bolted on. That's a Harley poser thing.

I really hold you guys in high regard that uniquely modify your Rockets without relying on aftermarket manufacturers. You guys who do it yourselves and show the rest of us what can be done, what is possible, and teach us how to play with the machines.

My last new Triumph was a 1970 Bonneville and you had to share mechanical skills to keep the zener diode brackets from breaking and other such goofiness. Now we have new ways to share our love of thins mechanical like mud porting the heads and such.

It is a hoot reading about headers and ignitions and secondary throttle plates, carbon fiber and fly screen mods.

I respect fellow motorcyclists of all brands, even with stock wheels.

Hey Robbie!!

Did I welcome you to the forum???? What is wrong with me?? Don't answer that... we don't have enough time..

You might look at the sticky above about new product ideas and post your wish list for wheels up there. We do have a few friends in the aftermarket world, RIVCO being one of them. I hope Rivco is selling stuff, I've certainly spent some money with them and I know others have also. I am going to spend more in the very near future :-D You might want to buy some RIVCO stock. I don't know if they make wheels or not... they don't have to make them... they could subcontract that out to Weld (a local KC firm) who might just break down and build some if they got an order from Rivco for, say, 500 sets.

Rocket Captains are mostly at the top of their game so to speak. If you can afford a $16,000 motorcycle USD just to jack around on you can afford a few goodies to put on it. I think RIVCO has this figured out. I know they lurk around here as do others. As time moves on we will see more and more, and it will be a good thing for all involved. In the meantime... send your wheels out and have them powder coated or chrome plated, and when they come back mount some Goodyears on 'em :-D

I tried again and this is what they told me

at this time WELD RACING is not offering this application, nor is it on the agenda, for development/fitment.

Sorry for any inconvenience. :brk:

They look great, but folk mention having to replace them due to corrosion after only a few thousand miles... But I never really understood what was corroding badly enough to need replacement...

Perhaps carbon fibre would be possible: look good with the 2006 black engine.

Perhaps we should be prodding this company - or perhaps its only possible for little wheels, they only seem to go up to 160 section...
