It's got Triumph Daytona and Harley Sportster faster than Rocket and HD V-Rod. Hayabusa in the 8's.

I don't know about the rest of it, but even Triumph's 650 Daytona compared to the Rocket is quicker 0-60, quicker 0-100 and quicker and faster in the 1/4.

The machines and drivers look quite varied.

In the motorcycle mag tests, both the V-Rod and R3 were in the 10's I believe. I'm a little skeptical that a Daytona 650 or an HD 1200 Sprotster is faster than a Rocket - so much less torque. GSX 1300R I can believe.

not all the bikes listed are stock and some are more modded than others.

therefore, i do agree on the daytona 650 being faster than the rocket in stock forms because it's all about power to weight ratio.

if i'm not mistaken, i think the 650 runs high 10's in the 1/4 mile stock and the fastest time i've seen for the rocket is 11.2 sec. so the rocket is about 1/2 a second slower.

hummm im wondering if you put a trailer and 2 up on a speed triple or a hd sportster and add the same to a rocket, who which would be able to haul all of that and move faster?? ahhh and there is the reason a rocket is a better bike my friends lol :hammer:

MCN has the stock 650 at 0-60, 2.92 vs 3.59, 0-100, 6.85 vs 8.29, and 10.75@125.93 vs 11.44@118.33mph.
Power to weight ratio at 1:4.55 vs 1:627. Top end at 156.4 vs 145.9mph.

Regarding the Rocket, someone said to me..."its the Torque stupid" .....after owning one for nearly a year now I can vouch for that.......the torque anyway...not me being stupid...after all I bought a Rocket... :-D :wink:

The daytona may beat the Rocket in the 1/4 but the Rocket rider has a lot more fun in those seconds. No way a stock sporty beats the Rocket except with a lousy Rocket rider.

Besides, what other mass production bike than the Rocket can plow the lower 40 after the drag races?
