Hey Guys

You Know I have suggested it before ....that a bunch of us Rocket guys....should get together at the Iron horse lodge and spend a Friday -Sunday Riding our rockets in that area..
I meet with a good bunch of people up there that ride K1200 LT's and we have a blast.
last April...we had about 75 LT's there...the people at the lodge are motocycle people and just as nice as can be...the food is great ...OH and the choc. Ice cream sundays are awsome...

Also they have a shop you can use to do services on the rockets or add farkles....change out exhaust systems...do about anything you need to do to your bikes...from change oil to remove the butterflys..thingies....Lmao

I could use some help on putting my chrome oil tank on...instead of paying....shop 3 hrs shop rate to do it

Lets try to set something up this spring.......who will volunteer to help me set this up....

Check out the Http://www.ironhorsenc.com

what ya think and who will help....some one with puter skills make a sign up sheet....and a list of possible dates to go up there

Joey :-D

This is an earlier post...

Hey Guys

I just got back from Deal's Gap. Went up there Fri.with the Rocket. Man I sure could have used a windshield and cruise control....Tuff on an ol man...LOL

Let me tell ya'll one thing, the Rocket can hold it's on in the twisties. I ran the rocket with the standard air pressure in the tires. Under hard brakeing, the rear end would get light and tended to lock up. I only scared myself once. Never crossed the center line, 2 autos pulled over to let me by and did the Dragon in the 9 min. range not bad for al OL man.

I can only imagine what the Rocket would do with a set of Bridgestones and ABS brakes....or someone that could ride the twisties

That was one of the best weekends I have had in a long time...Ya'll need to try it some time

Yea, I did the Dragon for the first time this year in July. I stayed in Robinsonville at the Two Wheel Inn, they have a garage with each room.

The Dragon was cool. Kill Boy.com takes your picture so check out their web site for the date you road there. You can purchase the photo's.

I like the motorcycle friendly shops and restaurants near the dragon in the middle of no where. We went during the week day and had very little traffic. The day we were there 2 motorcycles has crashed that day. A yellow Honda CBR was off on a ditch when I passed by, no rider was around.

Their are some awesome roads like 58 I thought was better than the Dragon. The Chokahala Sky Way was cool as well.

I think everyone needs to check it out once. I rode about 600 mile in 2 days from NJ.

Hi, I'm new here and a new Rocket owner. The wife and I just got home a few weeks ago from the Dragon. I had a blast on a CBR 1000rr, but the wife hated it. So we are now new Rocket owners.
We are planning on going back come spring. Sometime in mid to late April. I enjoy getting to meet some fellow rocket owners if you guys go.

PS, the CBR is now forsale. The rocket was everything I hoped for. I can't wait to smoke Road King! :-D
