They must like my answers and I didn't even study....

This one is from Triumph and they would like to know what I think about Triumph products, services and my dealer now that I have had my bike for a year.

I would say that most of this survey has to do with the performance of the dealer, with really only one question about the motorcycle itself. They have a little check box for standard equipment.... IMHO they should expand that one just a little :-D

But... if you fill this thing out they enter you in a drawing for a free Triumph motorcycle of your choice... what do ya think... the Scrambler? Another Rocket? I would look stupid on the 675... and that would deprive some kid of his dream bike.... Maybe a Tiger.

Maybe I'll hit the lotto too.....

I also received that survey. I'm waiting for the outcome of my 4000 mile slipping clutch to fill mine out. Took it to the dealer today.

As far as choice of bike? It's a toss up between another Rocket or a Thruxton. I've always liked the looks of a cafe racer, something to play with.

If you get the bike of your choice obviously the only smart thing to do is pick the most expensive one...that would be the Rocket. Then, if you wanted another triumph, you could sell the Rocket, say get the scrambler, and bag the cash difference.

After the Rocket I cannot see buying another bike that isn't a speed demon...so I would either get another Rocket or any of the sport bikes they offer. The bonnies and birds look great but..if it doesn't at least do 12 or better in the 1/4 its a sloooooow grandma bike.

Would go for the 675, to rock my 18-year soul (and get my red racing leathers out of the closet) but at the risk of hurting my 56-year old body (back, shoulders and wrists), as happened when I was ridin my Aprilia RSV 1000 Factory, i.e. until I parted with it to purchase the RIII.

As to surveys, be they originating from Triumph or other bike brands, yes, they all seem to take the product for granted and focus on us, the "end-users" and/or the dealer, his services, line of accessories, etc. I wrote a note to that effect to Triumph back in Nov. '04 as an attachment to the survey form, suggesting that a better balance between the product itself and customer/dealer topics or issues would be appropriate in such surveys. Never got any feedback.

Actually it might net you a Scrambler that's free. You will be assessed by Uncle Sam for the full MSRP of the Rocket, you will IAL have to sell it for less, and then *maybe* (depending on your tax bracket) what's left of the proceeds after paying Uncle Sam will get you a Scrambler. Or maybe more like a Honda Ruckus. Or a Mattel Hot Wheels

You guys took my little fantasy dream and just squashed it. By the time you're done with it I'll be sending money to Triumph...
