Does anyone know an easy way to get the stock risers off? There is a piece of metal next to the 17mm nut that is preventing me from getting a socket around it. :???:

When I put mine on I had problems too with your issue. I was sure I couldn't get a socket in there but I eventually did. I used my hands to place a long socket over the bolt and then fit the wrench to it. I found that to be easier.
