Some kid I don't even know comes up to me at work and asks " Let me ride your bike, man". Wellll.... No. "I know what I'm doing... I want to see what it will do!!"

Just what I want... someone to tell me the truth... he's going top beat the cr*p out of my bike :hammer: :hammer:

I seem to draw these people. I've caught two people dry riding it. I come up behind them and squeeze their necks with one of my hands to give them the idea I mean business. Now, being a mechanic, I probably have stronger hands than 99% of the general population. They usually come off very easily. I wouldn't have the nads to sit on someone else's bike without asking. Maybe I should put a fan in front of it so they can get the full effect....

Tell them "No problem if you'll let me ride your woman...I know what I'm doing!"

On 2nd thought maybe that's not a good idea unless you've seen her... :-D :-D :-D

Dry ridin'? The other day a dude reportedly wanted his 10-year old --somewhat reluctant-- brat to sit on my parked Rocket. The lil' brat somehow got his r/h calf onto the hot mad dog. Started cryin'. His dad started bitchin' about how dangerous 'cycles are, even when standing still (am not making that one up).

That's when I was walking back to my mount. To the scene. Not in the best of moods.

The handful of witnesses were spontaneously telling him that HE was out of his mind. What if the bike had fallen? All exhaust pipes get hot ! Did he want to call the police? An ambulance? Would he equally encourage his brat to sit in parked convertible cars (a good line BTW!), etc. He left, telling me and the witnesses that we were all retarded people. And yellin at his brat to shut up.

There's hope

what an idiot. that's a good line tho..I'll have to remember that one.

There was a guy at my work that I didn't know sitting on my speed triple a couple of years ago. I wanted to bum rush the guy and get all up in his business, but I kind of just walked up non chalantly and said, hey, what's up? he got kind of nervous and said, hey. but he didn't get off.

I asked him where his car was and he looked at me all weird and I told him that since he was sitting on my bike, it was only fair that I sat on the hood of his car and if he wanted to give me the keys, I could jack around with all the switches and stuff too. He promptly got off the bike and start apologizing and all this other *****, I was so frickin steamed, when I didn't respond to any of his apologies he got the hint and sheepishly walked off. Jackhole...

I can't believe the audacity and stupidity of some people. First off, you never touch someone's property without permission. Did these people grow up in some kind of communal commie looney bin? Second, to actually blame the owner of a bike or all bikes even for injuries to themselves or children for their own idiocy is lunacy and truly reinforces the notion that Neanderthals still walk among us.

I haven't found anyone dry ***** my Mistress yet, but if I ever do I will try to be kind cuz if they are THAT STUPID as to mess with someone who rides a bike as audacious as the Rocket, boy you gotta pitty them.

Anyways, the perimeter alarm on my Mistress usually takes care of any wannabe humpsters.

I blame it on a newspaper article....

Years ago Ann Landers or Dear Abby (can't remember which) had an article where she basically replied to a guy whose bike was scratched by a "dry rider" that it was HIS fault. She put in a nationally syndicated article which said that if you choose to ride a motorcycle you have to put up with people sitting on your bike. She said to deal with it and if someone got hurt on your bike that they should sue YOU for leaving such a dangerous piece of machinery out! Not once did she recommend that people respect other peoples property.

This happened in the late 80's and got all kinds of press coverage and responses. She never retracted that statement. Some people feel its normal and ok to sit on your bike as a result of the article.

Me, I am more than happy to scrub the melted skin off the pipes as many times as it takes for the idiots to learn not to sit on my bikes. (My wife managed to burn herself getting off the first time. Yes I warned her ahead of time...)

Maybe someone with studs in their Levi's should have sat on the bonnet (hood) of her shiney sports car parked outside her office. Imagine the marks it would have made as you slid off the front injuring your back on the way down.

What's a sore back worth these days, lets see... gotta be somerthing like 15 or 16 grand. Just enough to buy a new Rocket :-D :-D :-D

Dear Abby

May bleeding piles torment you
And corns adorn your feet
And crabs as big as roaches run on your pssy and eat
And when you are old and feeble
And your mind a total wreck
May you drop right through your arsehole
And break your f##king neck

Yours truly

Ugarte
