Cryptic message from the WW2 Allied HQ's in London to British reconnaissance paratroopers in occupied France, deliberately intended to be eavesdropped and deciphered by German intelligence? Or the other way around?

"Rising above lies and deceptions" does have a wagnerian undertone, don't you think?. Nevertheless, one may equally recognize it as a typical shakesperian utterance.

Mmmh... double agents at work?

What a thriller

I'm not sure how long it will stay either but it's not a real
concern to me. I'm not that curious but I'll ask anyway:
How does the content and tone of this post serve the
members of this forum? I am convinced that you have
recieved satisfaction from it but i do not think it is appropriate. It has been said by others on this forum that
there is room for multiple Rocket Forums and there shouldn't
be gloating or competition. I don't think there is anything
wrong with this forum or the other forum. If my IP address gets blocked on the other forum then i will not cry. There are a bunch of wonderful folks here also but if you want to brag about the other forum that's okay with me. I do not, however, need to hear about your private correspondance with anyone else relating to issues specified in your post. If you feel that you are justified by posting in this manner, then i feel that it is my right to respond. I'm not likely to change my thinking due to any response that you might make. Especially if you try to convince me that I am wrong or in any way try to further propogate and expand on your statements.

I'm not going to delete this.

Thunderer, scroll down the topic list a bit - you'll see the link to R3Owners.Com on it. I've also added it to the TriumphRat.Net WebLinks Section.

How they choose to control access is entirely within their discretion.

Thunderer, I am trying to reconcile your post with one you made just a few days ago saying

being a new member to this site having recently moved back to England from some 20 years in India serving with HM forces I find that 2 sites exist with reference to the Rocket 111, it seems to myself that whilst reading through the previous posts on this site and various posts on the other site there are some differences and some problems to overcome, this world is so small, and be it we are only here for a short time, so come on all of you, lets live and let live.
It seems to me like you are the one who is "bearing grudges".

Curverunner asks, "How does the content and tone of this post serve the members of this forum?" The only answer I can come up with is, in the absence of the now removed offensive material and confrontational posts that challenged the right of the site's owner to establish rules of conduct, this one serves as a reminder of the disregard and downright ill will that some of the departed previously exhibited toward this forum.

Even now that they've got their own place to play, which you would think is a win-win situation for all concerned, some of them have just got to keep sticking the poison in. Very disappointing.

Well, back to real life for a while...

As usual... I missed it. But that's allright.. Maybe just a loose cannon that no one controls.

I do hope this won't set us back... I don't think it will

Well well well, fancy that, all this drama unfolding while I was tucked in and asleep. I wake up, hug the wife and race into the computer room (as you do) only to find all the salaciousness of the previous 12 hours has been pulled and I am left to imagine what "pearls of wisdom" must have been deposited here here via one naive newbie from the UK.

Knowing the twisted and embittered state of mind of certain of the previous members of this forum, one can only assume that the benefits of their utterances would at best be slim and at worst, smell like a pile of still steaming horse shyt :-D :-D :-D
I am reminded of the old Arab proverb: The dogs bark but the caravan moves on!

So twist dat throttle and git some wind in yer hair you blokes... it's a good remedy for lifes problems!
