Are there any pictures of the Rocket Classic that Triumph introduced? What is it, a bagger version, or did they put longer travel suspension hardware on it for touring? What does Classic really mean? If it was a Harley, I suppose that means it has a radio or something, but since it is a Triumph, I don't know what Classic refers to.

Hasn't really been introduced yet...just a press release that may or may not be for real. Dealers will have details after this weekend, if there are any to be had. Personally, I think it would be a great move that would get the Rocket into a lot more hands.

Not a full-dresser but a bit more in the "traditional" style most other full-frame cruisers are, meaning it comes with floorboards, pullback bars and a touring-style seat with a more serious passenger pillion instead of the excuse for one that comes on current Rockets. Plus it has 2-tone paint, some fancy seat stitching etc. Not a word mentioned about suspension, but drivetrain exactly the same. No doubt higher priced but no word yet as to how much.

Though the stuff it comes with is easily added to any Rocket, this model plays to a more mainstream cruiser audience...as if anybody on a Rocket could be called that, ha! No big deal really, but offering a little variety doesn't hurt.

I wonder how much the Classic's bars will cost? This might be a viable alternative to the Rivco risers.

I also wonder if the new bars will need new cables, brake lines, wiring harnesses....

Am I the only one that thinks the stock bars are OK?? Maybe I should sit on someone else's bike that has the risers and see if I like them.

No.

I like the stock bars and risers just fine. If I want to lay back a bit I just put my hands on the ends of the bars and use the throttle boss and friction lock. In the twisties, when I want to lean forward, its back to full hands on the grips.

If I need to really stretch out I stand on the rivco passenger floorboards and do calisthenics...... :-D

Urgarte, Now that's an idea... I hadn't thought of that one!

Seriously, On a 700kay jaunt down to Pt Macquarie weekend before last, I was having trouble with aching muscles in left shoulder area. Figured if the bars were back just a little all would be fine. On the other hand when I am hooning around our back road curves (Mustn't upset anybody by calling them twisties), the stock bars with their slightly aggressive lean forward stance are just right.

Tomo, Perhaps you have longer arms than me!
