Has anyone made a electric cruise control work on a rocket ? I had one on a valk but it was vacuum , with 6 carbs it worked good. I don't know if it would work on a rocket with efi. I know I might be OK with a throttle lock but the cruise is nice on my Harley Road Glide. Any thoughts ????

Hey Slo,

A cruise sounds nice, but I am very pleased with my Throttlemeister - Clicky here.

Easy to use as a throttle lock, it can also can be used as a "sticky thottle" that lets you ride without needing to twist your wrist against the return spring, but still control the throttle instantly.

Very well made, with good customer support, it looks nice too, even though they don'y make it in black. I am modifying the wifey's Adventurer bars to accept one.

Hate to get all repetitive here, but if you're a cheap s.o.b. like me and don't want to spend the bucks on a Throttlemeister, I have a suggestion.

Take off the throttle side bar end weight, super glue or epoxy the pieces of it together so that when you turn the bar end weight you turn the screw. Put a couple rubber or fiber washers between the handlebar end and the end weight. I used one with a 1" OD so it just fit inside the grip end and another 1/8" thick 1.125" OD. Screw the bar end weight in or out to the desired friction level. I've used this on my Rocket for a few hundred miles now and it works stupidly well. I originally did this just as a proof of concept kind of thing and so far just using the silly super glue is working fine! Normally the only thing I can stick together with super glue is my fingers.
Anyway, it works for me and it's free.
