How do you like the flyscreen? I just ordered one but I am still trying to sell myself on the looks. This is the first bike I have ever owned that I did not want to install a windshield on. It looks so cool without one. The dealer sort of talked me into the flyscreen.

Hey Doc,job well done.My earlier post alluded to the 'old' Triumph logo but the new one is now old too,so how do you go?
How do you get your pics into the album so quick?Mine have been sitting in "submissions purgatory " for weeks, not that that really matters.
And,that guy in your pic 55(hope it's not you)looks exactly like the Pookaka did just before I hit 'im!
Rocket On ,Mike!!!

Hi Doc , I heard on the grapevine all the way down here in Freo that there was a Rocket out at the Newman drags 'SMOKIN' big inch Harleys...that wasn't you by any chance? I lived in Wickam (15 Oleander) in the early 80's & worked on the tugs. have been working for Mermaid Marine lately out of Dampier. I have a black 04 R111, it got the most attention in the carpark of the Fremantle custom bike show . Svein (SaturnV)

Svein,
Wasn't me at Newman drags but I also heard that the Rocket beat everything that went up against it.
I've been here since 1978 aka "Doris" so I must know you. We had our annual Fallen Riders Run to Fortesque last weekend and I smoked a black Rocket on the way there. Broke 1 of his headlights too as he and everyone else says that when I give it***** the Rocket starts ripping up the road. My Rocket had a top box and saddle bags fitted with a tent , double blow up mattress and all camping gear and the other guy "Steve" had saddle bags and his missus on the back. He said I pulled away from him above 200 kph. His bike has cat box removed and Madaz pipes. mine has home made 3 into 1 with K&N air filter.

I'm sure I would have met you down the pub at some stage although I was on a mission to pay off my house & harley at the time so I laid low whilst on my work cycle (5 weeks on, 5weeks off) so I could party at home in Freo..much better female / male ratio !! Russell Mitchell was up there at the same time as me , you probaly ran into him more often. I met 'Steve' at my mates 40 th in Karatha in june on my way to Broome (in the car as my R111 hadn't arrived from Sydney in time!) I saw your R111 on the leaflet for the Memorial Ride, were you the tall fella standing behind it? I saw the leaflet up at the mermaid pub (I'm a typical seaman, only make it to the nearest pub when in port!) Watch out for Roo's & Radars !
