I was watching the evening news and there was a little story about Honda putting an airbag on a motorcycle... and they showed what appeared to be a Goldwing hitting a wall and an airbag deploying. They cut the film short... it appeared to me the crash test dummy was going over the bag and probably hit the wall anyway. I thought to myself... if they would have had a human instead of a dummy driving the bike they might have missed the wall.

I always heard that it's best have a seatbelt fastened when an airbag deploys! I'm not wearin' a seatbelt on the Rocket. However, this guy had an idea.

Walters air lift

I suppose if you could do it fast enough, then you could deploy a helium air balloon and fly over the wall.

That kinda reminds me of the urban myth about the guy that strapped a Jato Jet engine to the top of his car and it left the ground and flew into the side of a cliff. The car was a Dodge or Plymouth cop car (I think) so a MOPAR mag decided to reinact it and was actually able to put the car into the roof of a barn... all of this stuff is still slower than a Rocket... :-D :-D

Still, JATO is a beautiful sight to see on a C130. I always loved that aircraft but i'll never be able to afford it. It would be neat to fly one around with a load of Rockets and a few friends. Camp out at night and take scenic rides during the daytime. They are still pumping out the C130J in Marietta, Ga. If anyone here has one, then please invite me for some flying time.

What about installing an ejection seat? Afterall, we are talking about a ROCKET here guys.

Here is the plan:
Moments before impact, a set of sensors, just like the back up warning sensors in the Ford Expedition, would signal the seat in nano seconds to jettison, or "Rocket", out of the frame catapulting the rider to a safe altitude whereby a parasail would deploy.

Of course, being in a tunnel or below and overpass are minor details that will require some more research. :yayyy:

Well, that problem is really simple to solve. Just put a big yellow warning sticker on the gas tank that says:

Warning: Disable ejection device when driving through tunnel and be very careful around overhead high power high power transmission lines.
