Pretty close to buying my bike, leaning very heavily towards the RIII. I need to start checking for cruiser clubs in Arizona but I’m wondering if any of you have had experience with being “adopted” by one of the large HD clubs. They seem to have the numbers to put together some nice rides on regular basis’s so it would be nice to hang with them.

Any experiences with this idea? Do their bylaws restrict them from this?

A lot of riders means a very slow ride. With the Rocket....that would be agony.

If you get the Rocket get used to solo riding cuz that is about the only way you are going to be able to open the dang thing up...otherwise everyone will be mad at you for leaving them behind.

Or ride with sport bike riders.. :-D

Buy the Rocket III and head up to Payson and I'll help you brake it in.

Listen to what this man says, he hit the nail on the head! I did my first and last poker run last year on my Rocket. It was unbearably slow.

Keep in mind that when you buy your Rocket III you should automatically be signed up for RAT. Or at least we were when we bought in Waco. And like Ugarte wrote lots of riders means lots of slow speed and waiting on laggers....
I enjoy riding with a group every few months or so but as a rule it is most fun with just one other rider.

Clubs suck. Stay out of them. Most are Harley only. Some are American only.

It is ez to find someone to ride with. Ride the Rocket around a little and you will meet a lot of people in a short time. All will envite to ride. Soon...it is not a matter of a group to ride with, but which group. Everyone is friendly to the Rocket III.

Stay away from the % or outlaw clubs. Bunch of criminals who just happen to ride the motorcycle. There interest is in money and crime, not riding.
