Well boys and girls my brother came to town(im in Fla, they from NY) with his 113" road king, and got his doors dusted... If you guys are of any hd knowledge, you know a 113" is a pretty potent warrior..
they came to town with a 97" last bike week and dusted my BMW K1200LTC (chip and pipe).. so i knew i had to look elsewhere to find a suitable challange for the boys as i never loose two years is a row to them..my last bike was a hd bagger with nitrous 120hp) Well they were a little intimidated as they should be for "the monster" that waited for them... (and the bike aint even broke in yet 800 miles, shifted at 5 grand) ran from a roll at around 60mph and just walked away from him... the hd ran good, but like i said i was shifting at 5 grand.. ran from second gear and walked away again... cant wait to take it to the red line..
all i can say is "WHO'S YOUR FREAKIN DADDY NOW"

Mr GLW

You ought to be ashamed to run your K1200 LT like that....You know to bust all crusiers and touring bikes in the twisties with the LT.
That is what the LT loves to do.....lol a good rider on an LT can leave a fair rider on a sport bike....No problem

GLW: Great posts.

"HD... obsolete and built to stay that way".

Stretchin' them to 113" is like prescribing Viagra to earthworms. They still crawl around but, for a split second, they look like neon tube lights.

well, i was thinking the same thing. I figured that maybe
the LT wasn't running right or that it must be a lot different
than the RS. 0-150mph on the K1200RS is both a rush and
quite impressive. I don't know about the 113" but i haven't
seen a 97" that could dust my RS.

Hey Jamie, interesting observation :-D :-D :-D

I'd never quite seen it that way but now that you mention it... yes, great analogy!!!

The LT is a lot different than the RS. The RS is actually about 30 horsepower more powerful and a lot lighter. It is a fast bike. Not Hayabusa fast but pretty fukkkkin fast.

The Rocket is faster than the above but the Hayabusa, and the Rocket will run neck and neck with a 'busa till about 100MPH, then sayonara Rocket.

Love the K1200RS one of the great sport touring rides of all time.

That is true and so will a Screaming Eagle V-Rod...Just a Tad faster than a Rocket III up too 100 Mph the the V-Rod is gone.

But no shame to the Rocket III...Still one awsome bike...for sure
