As you may remember from my other thread I am trying to find a way to put some music on the Rocket to kill the boredom on some of the longer rides. While I was in Wally World I noticed they had some ear buds (by Koss) for $4.99, and someone else mentioned they had used these and they will work in a helmet. So for $4.99... I bought some.

I then had to get some tunes to the ear buds... I took an old portable CD player I had and used some two sided stick back Velcro and stuck the darn thing to my gas cap. I put the Velcro on the little key door that flips up for two reasons. First... If I want to remove the Velcro later I think it will be easy to remove the sticky tape residue from that mat black surface. Second, when I stop to get gas since the key cover flip door lifts up with the gas cap I hopefully won't be able to splash gas on it and melt the sticky tape. All I will need to do is romove the CD player from the gas cap and fill up.

It is in behind my flyscreen so it won't get blasted by the wind, and I can easily reach the controls on the CD player with my left hand. So far it has worked... but if you see a little portable CD player laying on the side of the road you know what happened. If my Jet CD is still in it please send it back... :-D :-D

Really.... this ain't too bad...

Good idea Tomo... I have apair of custom moulded ear plugs which are wired for sound. Plugs directly into my mini I-pod with leads which are spring coiled so they flex and don't get caught up. Page Title... EARMOLD AUSTRALIA

Or, you could buy an iPod Nano...brand new today, and it is so light you can hang it from your neck with these cool little headphones they sell for it, kinda like headphones/lanyard all-in-one...
this thing is f-ing tiny, but holds plenty of tunes, like 1000....

or

You can also save like 25,000 photos on it, so you could take your best pictures of your kids, or bike or whatever along for the ride...that way, when you get to where you are going, you can show off your photos...

check it out at...

iPod Nano

ride safe....

hiya
the 60gigabyte ipod will give you ore music than you can deal with. ear buds reduce engine/ wind noise also on an open face helmet. for $5 you can get a splitter and have the pillion with music as well
