I'm trying to figure out a way to get some kind of speaker into my helmet that isn't too big of a pain to use... This is a setup from Oakley for use with an IPod but you have to buy the entire set of designer Oakley glasses. I already wear glasses so it would be kind of a waste. Has anyone seen something usefull and easy to fit that even kinda works???

I don't want to mount speakers on the handlebars.. probably couldn't hear them at 75 mph anyway...

Tomo

Tom,One of my sons video game mags had some powered earbud type headphones that are supposeed to be able to provide full range sound with convincing bass. They are a Sony PSP/PS2 upgrade and the price was $30 I think.I`ll try to find the name of them when he gets home. Steve. Its headbangeraudio.com , Look for Earsubs.

If I wanted high fidelity sound whilst I'm riding, I would get a set of those custom earplugs with the speakers in them.

I don't know the name of the brand, but Tomo, you are pretty savvy with the intarweb. You can find them.

I am an audiophile, I used to sell high end sound systems at one of my friends stores who trusted my expertise.

I wear regular PuraFit 6800's when I ride. I just listen to the motor and the tires. To me thats the music I like best.

I had a signature but it was taken away because of
the words in it. I had used the signature for hundreds of posts.

George Washington would be ashamed of the dearth of humor and overall motorcycleness left on this site.

Thanks Renton!!!

I like the sound of the bike also.... the problem is Kansas. I can guarantee you that you have never seen anything so straight and flat with nothing but wheat to look at in your entire life....

The only place worse is western Nebraska... it has no wheat.

HAHAHA!! :-D :-D

Tomo...I am thinking of getting an autocom so I can be totally wired on my bikes. I don't think you can beat having speakers vecro'd into your helmet for sound minus getting one of those HD's or Gold Wings with onboard stereo.

Lots of people use these; I have a set myself. They do a nice job of quieting the noise, even unplugged, and the sound quality is very good. And for $94, that's not bad.
