Some info on the TTS supercharged RIII. I think I will save up and have it fitted next year. Trackerjack is not so keen on it, any advice?

You know.... in a twisted sort of way I like the way that looks. It goes with the outrageous radiator. I like mechanical looking stuff anyway.

I would think very seriously about some engine guards. Trippin' on the cat while your pulling the bike out of the garage could do some serious damage to your wallet.

Maybe Santa will bring us all one :???:

Yes, Tomo. Outrageously TEMPTING. Had seen gutsy-reading power and torque claims. But any idea of the weight and price of that gadget? Regardless, one (nitpickin'? ) question is whether the RIII trans can be expected to cope? :???:

I think the tranny would be OK..... its the clutch that would need beefing up. I've heard that you get a heavy duty clutch with the Turbo kit (Turbo Connection) and it takes longer to install that than it does the turbo setup itself.

If you would call my bike a Stage One with the undertank K&N, secondary throttle plates removed, PC III, cat bypass and Mad Dogs... And the Turbo setup or the Supercharger setup a Stage Two.... both are in need of a little beefier clutch. I can get mine to slip when shifting between first and second IF I keep the power on.

Has anyone seen a heavy duty clutch kit available seperately?

Tomo

Yes, that supercharger looks mighty tasty. I'm all for mechanical things lookin' MECHANICAL. The R3 was designed that way and that blower is just some more icing. Yummm... now if I could only afford the setup. The Mrs. has already complained oodles about my gifts to the Mistress and is wanting a bike herself, so what should it be - bike for the Mrs. or a blower for the Mistress? I vote for the blow but I'm afraid I really don't have any say.

I'd agree the clutch needs fortification too. I've only got some "Stage 1" mods and my clutch has started flaking out afterwards. Dealer says it's likely normal wear, but I'd say no way. It sounds and feels "loose" and off like it's falling all apart in there. Needless to say I'll have to make the dealer dig in there when the riding season is about done. That'd be a good time to replace the clutch with heavy duty stuff, so if anyone knows of a kit...

Having seen a pic of the turbo installation and now the supercharger. I prefer the turbo. The tank looks like it could rub over time on the chrome pipe to induction. Not much clearence between the tank and head cover. Which would be susceptible to vibration. Also Air inlet behind appears to be behind radiator and would have to suck extremely warm air which couldn't be ideal. I think I would sit on the fence a while longer for a bit more refinement. :???: Turbo in comparison looks factory fitted and unoticeable to naked eye.
Thanks for good pics anyway

I'm willing to live with the blower sticking out for the extra 25 ponies (225 over the 200 the turbo puts out). My only question is longevity - anybody know the relative service life of a supercharger vs. a turbocharger?
