I was telling an R3 owning American friend who lives here near Noosa about the cheap deals at Chattanooga Triumph.

His comment: hey just wait a few more days, you might pick up a semi submerged one a heck of a lot cheaper!

I take it from this comment that Chattanooga is also in the storm path? Sounds like a lot of folk are doing things real tough at the moment. We havn't had any flood appeals here like what we saw with the Tsumami so I take it America can look after itself in these situations? ... I guess there are appeals happening within America, 30 Billion damage they are saying. Any comment.

I know one of our sites located at Pascagoula, Mississippi is under 2-4 feet of water. Our data center there is completely destroyed. Not sure what the plan of attack will be since we hear rumors that steady power might not be restored for weeks. Since we are a large company we can weather this storm. I feel terrible for the millions of people down there with their homes and towns completely destroyed. Many probably don't have flood insurance either. Looks like the government will have a big bill to pick up.

It's mainly on the Gulf Coast. Chattanooga probably got some heavy rain from Katrina, but the Triumph dealership there won't be flooded unless they were dumb enough to locate in a flood-prone area. That city is in the hills of east Tennessee well inland, where the storm weakened down to just a frog strangler to use one of the more politically correct colloquialisms --such soakers are nothing unusual at all in Tenn. I grew up on the western end of the state.

My wife and I made a 3000 mile round trip to Chattanooga last weekend.
We bought a Rocket and a Bonneville America for the exact out the door prices you see on their website.

They were very honest and straightforward about the transaction with no "bait and switch" tactics at all.

Just got a red R3 last Friday night for my birthday. My wife bought it and surprised me with it !!!! The price was $14,500 plus tax so I figured we got a good deal (here in Phoenix). I have been riding a Valkyrie fairly regularly over the past two years (got to keep the Valk too !!) and I have only seen two R3's on the road. Still a rare bird in our area but boy do I love this R3.

Well all I can say guys is that a Rocket still costs over $24,000 Australian Dollars plus on-roads. That's over $18,000 US dollars... I got my red beast at dealer cost with a fly-screen and heated grips for around $18,500 USD... That's way over any of the prices you guys are worrying about. Man $12,990 USD plus taxes??? That's only $17,150 Aussie dollars... What are the taxes?? And 3.9% finance??? WOW :upthumb: Either they totally over estimated the stock numbers in the good old US of A and stuck it to the rest of the planet. Or you guys just have the numbers to creat the best deals on the planet.

I live in Nashville, TN and paid $14,900 at the dealer here. Only ~120 miles from the Chattanooga dealer.
