Hit some sand in a right handed corner the other day going about 30mph or so when the back end kicked out slightly. I automatically reacted by sticking my right leg out and ended up running over my heel a little bit with the back tire. Did not crash or even slow down. It happened so fast I hardly even had the old stomach lurch. Heel throbbed for a few miles from the twisting it got but that was all. Pretty wierd, huh??

I don't think you're supposed to put your feet down when you're moving.

I had something like that happen to me. When I start to take off, my heel & toe catches between the pipe & the ground. It feel like the tire runs over you foot.

I think you are right Gray. When my foot left the peg is must have skipped off the pavement and then bounced between the pipe and road. It sure FELT like I ran over it though...

Never have run over my foot but I have put the foot down when the rear tire started to take off....it saved me from a dump each time.....at least it seemed like it saved me.

I have had that happen at slow speed when...not slow. From a stop to make the bike turn as you drive away. Sometimes it hits my left leg....scares me. It acts like it wants to take my leg under it.

RIII owners get leg injuries because the RIII "WANTS TO TAKE (their) LEGS" (?)

Skiers boast about leg injuries , as long as they occur in Aspen, Megève or Gstaad

WASP housewives resign themselves to leg injuries as a result of liposuction.

Corporate auditors claim leg injuries whenever a massive accounting ledger marked "confidential" is dumped on their lap.

Minorities realize that leg-related disability is more lucrative than illiteracy or obesity

Bluesmen are gettin' leg injuries whenever the dumpster they are sittin' by gets rollin'

Come on guys! Let's have some more WIT goin' on here . Not claiming any. Not tryin too hard (I hope) to generate any. Not suggesting there is none either.

Definitely NOT cryin for (sustained Formula Xtreme?) spiritual attention.

Just wondering whether just " sticking around" on this forum is good enough?

:???:

WIT !!?

From someone living in Geneva - but then not surprising you want some!

Used to live just outside Geneva and it was the straightest most uptight city I ever knew.

Do you still have to turn off your engine whilst waiting at red lights? One of the joys of an RIII is blasting away from the lights. Fancy having to reach for the key first !!!

I'd give ya half of one, but then what would I use...I wouldn't be able to count to 20 anymore...even with my socks off.
You can come visit occasionally on the other site and still be loyal to this one...Captains is captains and with Tomo running this one, it's all good.
