What is the diameter of the Triumph Dresser Bars? What size highway pegs (diameter) do I need to buy?

If you put pegs on the Triumph dresser bars, you will bend the mounts. Get a Rivco engine guard THEN mount the bars.

I already have the Triumph ones. I guess I won't be getting highway pegs.

Sure, man! Get the Kuryakin (sp?) adjustable, set them up for your foot size so they function almost like boards with your boot sole forming the bridge, don't press hard forward on them and drive on. When you're riding the pegs, they'll take all the down force you'd care to place on them. If you want to get light in the saddle, just push with your heal on the regular bike pegs...works like a charm and adds a great dimension of comfort to a days ride!

I think the problem of the weak Triumph factory dresser bars was in the early production. I had some put on recently and they appear pretty strong.

I'm not saying they are stronger than Rivco's or Kuryakyn's, just that they improved them. I like 'em.
