Okay;

Need some feedback. I have been contemplating ordering and installing the Corbin Beetle Bags... I have the Triumph Panniers now and they do carry a good bit of gear and groceries...

What say ye.... Would like some insight of what I might be getting into.

BTW.. I can get these for a little less than full price from Corbin...dealers cost.

Charles,

I have the Corbins and love them. The style is, IMHO, way more attractive than the leather saddlebag look. The only downside is they won't hold a full-face helmet.

Triumph panniers work great for me. Very well constructed and they look perfect with the Rocket.

ride on

Thanks everyone;

RickL & ORGE: How about passenger foot room.....Is there enough room for the passenger to set their feet. Not that I have many rear seat riders, except for an occasional lady who want to ride my 'ROCKET'... :razz:

The beetle bags are molded for a passengers legs. The Stock foot pegs are relocated with the Corbin mounts. Shouldn't be a problem for an occasional rider.

Ogre,
A couple of questions. What seat do you have on your bike in the pictures, is that the Corbin? Is that the Triumph roadmaster windscreen on it as well?

thanks,
Allen

Hi Charles, Saw those Corbin Bags on a black Rocket III floor model In Des Moines IA. They looked great and was a solid installation. Trouble is, now that I know that they are offered in any of the three colors, I am now back to trying to decide which color bike to buy. :-g

Apollo_18;

Thanks for the feedback... Well all I can say is you have picked the right bike... the color of it is just that...color. It can be changed...

For me, Black was the better option as it is usually the 'base'coat of most custom colors, flames, graphics, etc.

There is no doubt that the Corbins look SWEEEET!

The are also very aerodynamic and solid.

As you can see I have a black bike with black bags. That, to me looks fine.

I have seen red Rockets with red bags, which also looks good (if you like a red bike). But maybe too much red?

But I was just thinkin & wonderin how black Corbin bags would look on a red Rocket.

I think they would look gooood! And the black oil tank would not seem so out of place either.

But we will probably never get to see this combo tho, cause the red riders would be afraid the black bags would slow em down..............
I think the black corbins would look good...but I think white corbins would look even better against red. I wish triumph offerred the rocket in two tone paint schemes like some of their other bikes.

Hey RickL, not sure that one can be too dogmatic on this one. Some like the smooth flowing lines of the Corbin bags, some like the rough hewn western look of leather bags. They both have other pros and cons on a practical level and as far as looks go, beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Royal-R3, It is therefore very much a case of make up yer own mind on what YOU think looks good and what YOU think will serve your purpose better. From what I have seen, they are both quality items, they will both carry some gear and they are both fiddly to remove/re-attatch. Don't be swayed by others subjective opinions on this one but go yer own way!
