I cannot decide whether this Rocket of mine is goint to be a touring cruiser with the screens and all, or a bl00dy fast street cruiser with some 'bling'.

One big question is whether to go with Kury Pegs or Wings or some type of floor boards??? What is the best set up for the Rocket???

Preference thing definitely. I use mine for 2 hours commutes and floorboards and windshield will make it more comfortable. If you are cruising around town ripping it up mostly, then the bling would be better in my honest opinion.

The Rivco boards are somewhere in-between (not big bodacious boards, no useless poser heelshifting thingie in the way, and no detriment to cornering clearance the way they're sized and positioned). Install those, then get quick-detach saddlebags (e.g. Leatherlyke) and quick-detach windshield (e.g. Windvest) and you could kinda-sorta have it both ways depending on where you're going that day

I got the Rivco floorboards front and rear and like em a lot better than the stock pegs...you get a few more foot positions with the floorboards. Also have the leatherlykes but kinda wish I had bought the beetlebags.

The leatherlykes are useful and economical but I didn't buy the Rocket for those reasons I bought it because its a hot rod....now, in search of comfort, I have turned it in to a grandpa bike....shame shame shame...

I didn't know there was a quick detach screen for the rocket, is that a definite?

The WindVest is a quick detach screen and is very well made.

I've bottomed my pegs on turns. What happens when you do that with foot boards? At least the pegs come up.

Riders who fancy floor boards don't worry about cornering clearance. Or they think of it as the highway patrolman's legal right to nail them? The only leaning angle they seem to be aware of is that of the sidestand.

Controversial enough?

You are so lucky, I hapeen to be on today. Floorboards suck. Pegs are the only way to be able to ride on the Rocket. Wings are okay. But the pegs are the way to go. Floorboards are not for riding, just looking. A farce, i thank. So, do not bother thanking me for the correct information, it is understood that undying gratitude will be comming my way, so..."Thank you, thank you very much." (My Elvis imitation. ) is not being needed.
