Hey guys, for those of you who are getting custom maps made for your bikes if you want to share them send them to me at marylandtbird@yahoo.com and I will put them in the FAQ. I have already uploaded Rickl's map for Maddogs, K&N and the cat-bypass pipe.
Thanks....
Tom

Even if you see the same configuration posted, the data will show the variance between bikes.
Tom, have you installed yours yet?

I installed it last night. I didn't take it on a ride yet though as I started late and I didn't want to bother the neighbors.

Triumph Motorcycles Netherlands will end the 2 years guarantee on my new Rocket if I would install the powercommander, as exhaust emissions will not meet the severe European standards.
Dynojet Europe in Netherlands is interesed to install the PC and offered me a considerabe discount, as my Rocket would be the first to get it.
Dynojet quarantees a better performance in low and mid range.
My question is whether any Rocketrider with built-on PC can inform me what this improvement means in view of general performance (to what extent have motor specifications changed) and fuel consumption.
By the way, my Rocket is provided with a catalyst.
Thanks very much for responding

Hey Rocker!!!
Would it be possible for you to remove the right hand side cover and tell me what tune number you have printed on your ECM... it will be a number like: 20050 or 20051. At this point I have no idea if Rockets supplied to the Netherlands have a restricted Triumph tune or not. If it does have a restricted tune, like France's and Germany's, I would not recommend using the Power Commander III as it is based on a full power tune. It may be possible to put a different Triumph tune in your bike to bring it up to full power... we will have to cross that bridge when we get to it....

I would very much appreciate it, if someone with D&D exhaust and K&N would get their custom map made and then post it on this forum. So, I could slither in like a snake and use it. Thanks.
I e-mailed Dynojet and asked if they plan on making a map for this configuration and this is what they emailed me back.
Rich,
As different combinations become available to us, we would be happy to map
them and post the map for customers to use. We do not currently have a test
bike or these pipes. If you know of any Rocket owners in the Las Vegas area
that have this combination, have them contact me.
Thanks,

Zilla,
I also have the D&Ds with a K&N installed. I added a PC III to stop the backfiring as none of Triumph's maps would work. DynoJet already has a map for the Jardines, which are very similar to the D&Ds. I had them pre-load the Jardine map in my PC III before they shipped it to me.
15 minute install with no computer hook-up to mess with. Backfiring completely gone under all conditions. Had the bike dynoed the following week and it was dead on! The dyno guy said it wasn't worth hooking up the USB cable to maybe get another 2-3 HP. An exact D&D map may be a tad better but the Jardine map works great!

hi all,
Today was custom map day.......
First Rocket and first Brutale on their dyno.......
In case you all didn't know, the tuning center experience is extremely pleasant if you like to watch powerful things make wonderful noise (although it was a tad hot [89])
I sent the map to vonbonds.......
D&D's, stock air filter, 93 oct
max power 122.59 hp max torque 137.95 ft lb
then tuned for maximum smooth, no hesitation, lag or back fire
power 123.41 hp torque 134.78 ft lb
it really made it smooooooooth
also a picture..
tuning center is MOTO-FANATIC in Morris Illinois (630)551-5155
good guys and gal
enjoy
