Triumph appears to be recalling the Swinging Sixties with its new Paul Smith edition Bonneville T-100s. The precursors to these machines appeared in the most recent Torque Magazine. I thought they were quite a novelty, but I don't know that I would be caught dead on one.

In any case, supplies are limited to 100 per bike worldwide and are available on a first come-first served basis. MSRP is $10,999. All of you Austin Powers should get your deposits to your local Triumph dealer quickly.

Well, the Triumph motorcycle is now a fashion accessory. The clothing line based on the collaboration between British fashion designer Paul Smith and Triumph motorcycles is now out.

Sorry but someone has to say it !! (the Emperor's new clothes and all that...)
The Paul Smith bikes are bloody awful they look like the product of a class of colour blind, dyslexic, drunk 5 year olds on speed !!!
They are not fashionable, British or Sixties styled.

Has Bloor gone on holiday with Blair and also left a fat clown in charge ?

Thank you...as said in one of the yahoo forums JB should take one look at those things and implement random UA for Triumph's marketing execs.

There will be plenty of patsies to pick them up. Worry not 5print ST. Mostly boutique owners to showcase ethnic (as in Carnaby Street, nowadays) rags. Some continental "Visit Britain " medium-cost tour operators with a flair for native artistry, maybe. Marianne Faithful's fan club as a prize to the first non-suicidal buyer of her last CD. Plant hire operators north of Cambridge with a negative working capital but enough cash to buy-and-park one in front of their nouveau riche house (" sort of competes for attention with the porcelain dwarfs, doesn' it?" ).

Back to London: Separated upper-class wiffies living off generous alimony and buying such a piece of nostalgic ART as a gift (aka marginal refund) to estranged hubby. A means to cause said hubby ("he had sold his motorbike the minute we got engaged, remember Victoria? ") to feel THANKFUL. For the first time in ages.

For the last time.

That is just hatefull.... now I'm gonna be in a good mood for the rest of the weekend :-D :-D

And just to let you know....I saw a bike that looked a lot like the Live Fast for sale at Baxter's a few years ago and it WAS from the sixties... not restored or recently made up. Someone did that to it back in the sixties. I thought the seat looked like a stool from a soda fountain. It sold in no time.
