I always like to hear good bug stories....every biker has one or more..

My latest happened a couple of nights ago riding down the local river levy....a very large bug entered at the bottom of my mesh jacket...crawled up my chest....then my neck...then across my face (full face helmet)....when it got to my eyes I couldn't stand it any more so I grabbed the bastard and threw him away....along with my goggles. Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiiiiiiiiit that gave me the creeps.

It was probably a dragonfly...the river has lots of em....

I don't have any bug stories from Arizona, due to the heat and all, just don't have that many bugs.

I was slowing down for a red light when BAM! something hit my left hand. I thought it was a rock, but I look quick and there's a giant wasp on my index knuckle and then it flies off as fast as it came. Seconds later as I'm waiting at the light, my index finger starts to burn. *****, I thought, that wasp stung me right through my light summer riding glove. When the light turned green I quickly pulled into a store parking lot and grit my teeth through the pain of working the clutch. I couldn't park fast enough and sat in the parking lot nursin' my hand. The pain and throbbing seized my index finger and worked it's way to the rest of my hand. I rested for about ten minutes to let the pain subside enough to ride home. That sting hurt for a good 24 hours and after that the area around the sting itched for days. Nature's beautiful, ain't it?

I was tooling down a dirt road in the country one day, doing around 45 or so with my face shield flipped up cause a buddy and I were jawing, when something whacked me in the head. It must have been a wasp and it was buried inside my helmet where it proceeded to sting the hell outa me right in the temple.

I nearly lost it, but managed to stop the bike while clawing at my helmet, trying to get it off. My buddy thought I was having a seizure.

Bet I looked pretty stupid. Never did find the culprit, but it left a nice red lump on the side of my melon. Just glad it didn’t hit me in the eye.

FLY"S.... We have ZILLIONS of the nasty, dirty little critters over here in OZ. Some places outback they are so thick that you can't see the back of your friends shirt for the crwling mass on his or her back. I've swollowed plenty in my life... they just fly in as soon as you open your gob! I have these smelly fly-traps around the home in the hope it will keep the numbers down over summer... YUCK!

Man o man ! This thread must be jinxed. I read it minutes before i left work today and on the way home a bee flew into my face and stung me right next to my right ear ! Swear to god ! Then about 3 or 4 minutes later a bug splatters into my glasses. I am not making this up. The first thing i thought of the second i pulled to a stop was this thread. Amazing !

I got a good one. I had my leather jacket on but the zipper at the bottom of the sleave was open to let wind go into the jacket. Well wouldn't you know a hornet decided to fly up my sleave while I was riding, I only knew it was a hornet later, I feel this sharp pain it the middle of my arm so I reach and itch at it and then I feel other pain a little farther down my arm at that point I hit my jacket, no not done yet I didn't kill it till after 2 more stings. I finally get a chance to pull over I throw off my jacket to find little red welts starting from getting stung and parts of a hornet crushed on my arm and at one spot the Stinger sticking out.

Now that sucked
