Ok guys I am thinking about getting a Rocket 3 in the next week or so. What is the bottom dollar for a new 05 ? Are the performance slip-ons worth buying ? How about the power commander Do you get any of the low end power back with it ? and how about rpm's higher red line ? I know thats a lot to ask but this is my first post thanks Slo

Welcome. Your life is about to change.

You asked, " How about the power commander Do you get any of the low end power back with it ?". I'm not sure what you're asking about. The Rocket is all about low-end power. Well, low-end and mid-range. Oh, yeah, and top end.

So far as pricing goes, Slo, you couldn't be in a better location. Your Chattanooga dealer is, to my knowledge, the lowest price in the entire world! No joke, no exaggeration.

Add-ons...the only "must have" is off road pipes and cat-delete (with tuning). Forum member AussiebikerDave makes and sells a well-respected set of pipes called Mad-Dog.

Again, welcome. Get yourself together, and join us July 22nd in Virginia (look at the thread for Va/WV Salvo).

Bizarre! I just checked the site for the Chattanooga dealer, and he has DROPPED $500 from when I bought 2 months ago! $13,483. You better get 2, load one up for touring, strip the 2nd one down.

Buy it! You won't be sorry.

The PC III will put you in control of the air/gas mixture on your bike. Otherwise, it's Triumph via their local dealer and their out-of-the-box tunes. I don't have the PC III yet, but am leaning that way.

If you like cruising at 80 or above, you'll probably want a windscreen of some kind, unless you have arms like Popeye.

I've got the cat bypass and Maddog II pipes and highly recommend them.

Hope to see you on the road on your new Rocket!

RickL

P.S. Don't forget to get a red one - they're faster! :-D :-D

I little birdie told me that soon Triumph will be reencrypting their ECU's software rendering Power Commander and the like useless.

Thanks guys, I was looking for some Dealer names to try and low ball and save a few more dollars, but that doesn't look to promising. I have just sold 2 on my Valkyries and I'm down to a Harley. I think the Rocket may fill my need for fresh air lol maybe even speed Thanks guys Slo

Some Triumph dealers put Triumph first and foremost but to some it's a sideline brand just barely supported enough to stay franchised. I'd suggest you buy from one of the former rather than latter if at all possible, even if you pay a few more bucks. Else buy from whoever is the closest dealer if they're not way out of line price-wise and have a decent reputation. Ooltewah :???: I'm actually a TN native (Jackson) and thought I remembered the state fairly well but have no idea where that is--what's it close to?
