I Found Out !!!
O/K, the manufacturer of the motorcycle grip warmers that I was thinking about was Symtec.
Their web-site is symtec-inc.com
They make a Complete Motorcycle Hand Warmer Kit that uses heater pads which are wrapped around the handlebar under the grips. Sounds like the clutch side adheres to the bar and the grip, and the throttle side adheres to the grip. You'll have to read all the particulars.
List on them is $46.75
On the other hand, the model that I was first referring to was the Heat Demons Universal kit for metric bikes.
But, and this is significant, they say that the threaded insert in the handlebars needs to be removed. That seems like a lot of extra putts'n and probably a common issue that you'll run into with set-ups that use a heated element inside of the handlebar tube instead of a heated grip.
That's about all the info that I have about this. I actually learned quite a bit while researching it all.
Cheers !!!
