Mine did this early this summer ,it had galled the thrust bearing and lifter in the pressure plate .They replaced it with an updated one for free.My rocket is a 2005 .
went over to check on my Rocket seems that they cannot figure out what the rattle is they say it is not my clutch and are waiting for a factory rep to take a look at it
Good luck with it. I had mine in to the dealers about three weeks ago for a list of things. Also a 05'. put a new TPS on and charged me $165.00 for labor only. Triumph picked up the sensor. Still has the noise from the transmission. Dealer told me that it is normal. I have felt and listen to 4 other Rockets (05' to 08') and they all have the same feeling and noise. Mine is just too much noise and feeling to be normal. They did put on the repair order that the problem MAY be the bearing behind the clutch. If I'm not right that is the transmission, right? Time will tell.
I know what you mean they do have a noisie transmission I do not pay a lot of attention to it. the Bonnevilles in the '70s were noisie, Mine is a 2007 Rocket III that I got in January 2008 in of year Clarence LOL I have 24000+ mi. on it I have put in bearing on the output shaft transmission have put on TSP and a Idle control motor my major complaint is the down time at my deadership I have lost two months of ride time waiting on parts it has been there two weeks this time still waiting on factory rep this is getting depressing you would think I owned a Harley Davidson all of this waiting time
