I just got a call from the dealer telling me that my new rocket has to have the rear gear case replaced . Has anyone else had this happen?

Yes, all of us whose bikes were made in a certain time frame last year.

If yours is brand new, he should have told you that right up front...or better still, should have gone ahead and done it while they still had it.

Totally painless transplant. Although we all wish the problem did not exist in the first place, the recall shows responsible behaviour on Triumph's part, in my view.

Is this the recall that affects VIN numbers up to 216401 as stated on the Triumph website?
