Question question about sissybar install

I purchaced a sissybar and luggage rack for my 05 rocket when I went to install it I had to remove the existing chrome cover that runs on each side of the fender to gian access to the bracket behind it, when I went to reinstall the covers I found they would not fit. The question I have is am I supose to trim the covers to fit around the bracket or is there another cover that I have to purchase , if so what is thbe part # or where can - get it?

The kit that I purchased had the proper replacement covers included.

I had to buy a separate kit for the fender trim. Not off eBay. The quick release backrest kit does not come with the fender trim kit. I looked all over for them. Finally found them from BikeBandit.com for $50.

Come on now, no one got "ripped off " e bay style.

Those parts (the 2-piece Rear Fender Trim Kit, Triumph Part # A9758075) is not included with the sissy bar.

I bought mine from MADSS, and the dealer was the same thing.

Neither the rear pad (back) nor trim kit was included.

Described by Triumph as: "Triumph Rocket III Touring Rear Fender Trim Kit. Rear fender trim kit for use with the quick release sissy bar, (A9758067) Provides a clean chrome finish for the mounting harware."

I got mine from the below site. They don't sell the trim separately, but the backrest is separate, which is a little silly. Kinda joking about the rip off thing. Depends how much you paid. I felt ripped off paying the prices listed.

Any triumph Dealer can and will order the chrome rails for you. They're kinda pricey at $98. each, but if you want them, THEY ARE AVAILABLE through a dealer.
or
You can do like me and a lot of other folks have, get your trusty Dremel out and make the ones you have work..
