TPS announcment

Guys, I posted this in uncle jesses thread, but think it deserves its own thread.
Once again Triumph has stood head and shoulders above the rest of the motorcycle companies,
by just approving warranty claims on all future TPS issues.
They realized they had a problem and set about to fix it.
There is a new improved TPS on its way right now,
which should fix the idleing problems some have developed.
Here are the part #'s so you can make sure you're getting the new one if you ever need it.
old TPS #T 1245003
new TPS # T1245113
They're suppose to be recalling all the older units in dealer stock,
so we shouldn't ever see the old style again.

My new #113 TPS got to the dealer yesterday afternoon,
and I'll be there when they open up this morning..
I'll let y'all know if there's any "noticable" differences in the two once I get it on and get home.

What is "TPS", obviously something to do with the idling problem. Will Triumph recall or will the owners have to chase it up for themselves

Triumph has realized they had a problem with their Throttle Position Sensor (the primary one) and upgraded the replacment parts.
The new one looks exactly like the old one, except new numbers on top.
same wire colors, same shape, same adjustment hole, everything, except the numbers.
Triumph is doing the replacment under warrenty whether your bike is still under warrenty or not..

No idea whether there is any similar problem for carbed models, let alone a similar fix. The Rocket TPS is evidently rather unique.

I'm with Diego on that,
don't know because I don't know.
After closer inspection of the two TPS units,
the only noticeable difference in looks is the numbers stamped on them of course, which don't tell you nothin if you don't have the two to compare.
AND
on the back side, the side that mounts to the fuel rail, there's a "blue" plastic piece, instead of the black one.
That in itself should identify the new from the old.
You want a blue one, not the black one.
Here, I'll post a pic of what I'm talking about.

Part of the issue with the old one was it would fill with gas. I've seen two that way-Triumph stepped up on both.
