2006 Classic Alarm choices?

Having just purchased my Rocket have insured it without alarm as only £22 difference with or without but for peace of mind am thinking of fitting one. Have been looking on Ebay and found a Clifford of good spec way cheaper than Triumphs plug and play offering but have any of you's fitted your own choice and if so was it a right royal pia or ok or would you recommend oem. Or maybe no alarm and keep using my monster chain and lock because if they can lift a Rocket I need to keep out of their way

I always insure my bikes even chops, as left on the road with no security devices fitted, normally cost a tenner or so more, my take on alarms is no matter what you fit if someone wants it they will take it
