I wasn't happy with the stock seat so I just bought the Triumph Bucket Solo Seat with the Adjustable Backrest. (I also bought the Comfort Pillion Seat for my better half!) I received it from MADSS yesterday and will provide an update as soon as I put some miles on it.

Before going with the Triumph parts, I considered other seats (see the many other seat threads in this forum). I've had great experiences with Corbin. The Russell Day Long is another good choice. And many of my friends swear by their Mustangs.

Good luck, and let us know what you decide.

Holy cow, that's a good looking seat. I had no idea how much work went into the process.

Any idea how much something like that for a Rocket would cost?

Bobmielk on this forum turned me on to this guy, thanks bob...

All seats are custom built on your pan.Typical cost for a custom fitted seat is $450.00 for the driver. The passenger section price to be discussed. If you are not able to do a ride-in then you can send the seat to him. He needs side view pictures of you on the bike, the first as you ride, and the second with your feet down like at a stop. Then he needs a written discription of what you DO-NOT like about the seat. Lastly he needs a written discription of what you want. For example, moved forward or back, lowered the front under the thighs etc. He's an easy guy to talk to,and will ask you for some more measurements when you talk to him. I love my Mustang seat on the RoadKing i've had it on the bike for 8 years and it still holds up well, unfortunately Mustang doesn't make seats for Triumph.Mustang seat i bought is $449.00 now.Russell Day Long seat in vinyl is $570.00 and in leather $710.

I have a Corbin seat on mine and I think it is 100% better than the stock seat. My wife didn't like the stock seat at all and we just got back from a 3100 mile trip and she said the corbin seat was great.
