I'd also agree with Diego and ThatBoy on the oil issue.

Any good craftsman, artist, mechanic, engineer or what will say, "Use the right tools for the right job"

Yeah, except pretty much any oil with the correct weight that does not contain friction modifiers is the "right tool for the right job".

Please note that I didn't say you could just go pick up any oil off the shelf. It has to not contain any friction modifiers (i.e. does not say that it is "energy conserving") or our wet clutches could be damaged.

There have been many, many studies that show you throw your money away when you go to "motorcycle only" oils. They just aren't worth the money and don't protect any better for the price.

On my Yamaha 1100 I used Shell Rotella T for many miles with no problem. On the Rocket I use Mobil 1 Red Cap.

Neither of them are "MC only" and you would be hard pressed to find a product better than Mobil 1.

Drago, you're a wrench...do you use the red cap? Would it void my warranty (including the 2 year extension)??
Spending money on lube shouldn't be that burdensome, but do you feel there is any gain?
Thanks!
