Triumph Accessory Silencers (A9608060)

Hi,

I have a couple of questons regarding these replacement pipes:

1. If you have fitted these do they provide a slightly louder / deeper engine tone?

2. After fitting was it necessary to re-map the bikes ECU?

cheers
Steve.

Thanks Groover,

Can I ask how much your local dealer charged to re-map the ECU (I can fit the pipes myslelf)?

Also, was there any there any mention of warranty disclaimer as a result of fitting these (I can't believe that Triumph wouldn't support the bike with these fitted, after all they are Triumph parts)?

Cheers
Steve

I just installed mine about a month ago, they're not hard but I would lubricate the bolts holding the muffler shields on, because I didn't and one started to back out, then seized, I had to drill it out. The dealer charged me $75 to remap and said it wouldn't void my warranty if I installed them, just have them remap when I was done.

That's an incredible rippoff, considering it took him 5 minutes to load the TOR tune. He should have done it for nothing, especially if they sold you the mufflers.

I got a better deal on ebay for new tors than from my dealer, even though I bought two bikes from them. I had them remap until I figured out what I was going to do, but then this last group buy for tuneboy sucked me in.

Hi Steve,

The pipes are easy to install and did them myself. Imported from the USA to Australia as they were half the price. I had the dealer do the tune at the bikes initial 1,000k service at no extra cost. All Triumph and tuned so warranty should not be a concern.

Regards,
Groover.
