I've always liked the sound of the TOR's. Guess I'm getting old, I have the stock pipes and no cat box, and that's loud enough for me on the long trips. Wish I could have another Rocket just to "soup" up with loud pipes and all. I have a good friend with the TOR's, and they do sound good.

I have been wanting to hear the sound of TORs on the Rocket. Just about right for me. I like the three pipe system more and more as opposed to the 3 into 1 or 3 into 2 systems. Pipes will will come later. I am going to put money in the handlebars with a set back kit then shocks and seat work.

Yep they sound exactly like mine. They were installed on the bike when I purchased it, so I don't know how much an improvement over stock they are. With the tuneboy and cat delet and these pipes the bike flys though. And I also agree, I like the 3 pipes, though I know the Predators, and Jardines yield more ponies, I don't like the look of them as much as the three pipe setup.

Just got the Tor download today. I'm popping on decel more than ever. Any ideas how to reduce this even a little?

You need Tuneboy to fatten up the L tables. Or install a PCIII and have it dyno-tuned.

I went through this with Wayne at Tuneboy several years ago and he came up with the modified L tables, which control the fuel at low throttle positions. Then I put in a PCIII O2 sensor bypass to keep the ECU from adapting. I was still getting some popping but I thought the low-end throttle response was a bit rough, I was tired of screwing around with it, so I went back to the current Triumph tune for TOR/cat bypass, except that I set the secondaries table to full power (100&#37 and corrected the speedo using Tuneboy. I think it runs smoother and I can live with the popping. It doesn't do any damage and it makes people take notice.

gas mileage

This is a TOR thread. What are you fellows getting for best fuel mileage with TORs. I am getting 35 without them.

30-32 mpg. The question about decel popping is relevant to the TORs. If you install them with the bypass, you're going to pleasantly or unpleasantly surprised by some pretty intense backfiring.

If you have the right tune for the TORs/ cat bypass, you will get virtually no popping on decel. I run the a PCIII with the "Euro" TOR/cat bypass tune from their web site and I love the way my bike runs with this combo. I get about 35 MPG with this combo riding to and from work (70 mile round trip), down from 39 when the bike was stock.

I've been considering going to Jardines, but I really like the sound of my TORs as well.. so I'm undecided at this moment. For the price of the Jardines I could buy a bunch of goodies! and still have an good running bike that sounds good!
