Rocket III Tourer - Pannier rail recall

There's a recall notice issued for the Tourer pannier rail, 8 machines affected:


Triumph also issued a recall notice on 2008 Rocket III Touring motorcycles due to a problem with the saddlebag assembly. The affected bikes may be missing a weld on the back of the pannier rail supporting the bags. After time, the pannier rail may weaken and fracture, causing the saddlebags to fall off. The recall notice affects eight motorcycles,
Dealers will replace the pannier rail on the affected motorcycles.

I purchased my bike on 8/26/08 and the dealer was aware of recall on the pannier rails at that time and replaced mine before delivery..you can go to Triumph web page,enter your vin number and see if your bike was/is affected..I check the web page monthly on both my bikes for recall notices.
