Seized rusty indicator nut

Hi all trying to change my front right hand indicator on my 95 D1200. the nut is rusted solid and the whole thread turns in the plastic stalk. so far unable to get it off. used WD40 etc. Help any ideas please. Have already broke head off it. Help.

use molegrips, or pipe pliers or something to grip the rubber sleeve tight enough to hold the metal tube on the inside.if you are goig to replace the indi, cut it off at the point where it meets the brachet, or split the nut.

yep Daytona 750 is bang on. Use a nut splitter, every workshop should have one

Hi all thanks for the replies. Tried the nut splitter route but no joy due to the space inside the faring. I ended up using a soldering iron to melt off the stalk. This left the metal stub which you can fit a socket to and so unscrew the nut as normal. no damaged caused to any other parts and i was able to reuse the nut. Job done
