More Igniters......Trophy works in a Trident

Igniters seem to be a very popular topic... My bike starts great sometimes and then refuses to fire on others. Engine turns just fine but won't fire....aaarrrghhh!

I've checked plugs, fuel, coils,the timing thing behind the right hand engine cover and all seems OK so now I suspect the igniter. Can anybody tell me if the igniters for the Trophy 900 and my trident 900are interchangable ?

I had a 99 trophy 900 igniter on my trident for a while. The box was a different shape, smaller and the igniter was epoxy-sealed, but it worked fine and was plug compatible.
