Buell turn signal information
Like many of you before me - and with your helpful posts - I made the switch to the Buell turn signals on my 95 Speed Triple this weekend. The cost savings is significant. Also, to me, they look better than stock. It’s a switch I’ve been wanting to make for some time.
Two of mine were original and in very poor shape. The other two I had replaced with NOS a couple of years ago. She's garage kept so maybe they lasted longer than most, but they needed replacing. That weird rubber\plastic stalk compound had dry-rotted into an almost clay-like substance. One was dangling by the wires after a ride, and one was about to.
No pictures yet. Took about 30 minutes for each. I wanted to put all the information in one place, as it's kind of scattered or missing from the other posts.
Part Numbers;
Y0526.K - left rear & right front
Y0527.K - right rear & left front
Backing nuts;
8mm fine thread.
Wiring;
Black to black
Blue to white

Got any pictures? I am thinking about changing the signals on my Daytona. I put some aftermarket signals on it, but I'm not too happy with them. Would love to see what these look like on your S3.

I'll get some pics tonight.
There are some good shots on here somewhere from someone that also made the switch. In fact, it's an orange Triple also, so I knew exactly what mine would look like.
*edit*
Here's the older thread with another bike. Mine looks identical - same bike, same color, same signals.

i dont know why, but from your first post, io thought you were talking about using buel bar switches! (only cos i remember a subject about them being the same)
i really like them indi's tho, they do suit the bike, it annoys me that there are only really tiny little things available as aftermarket indi's, which do not suit the T3's in any shape or form!

That looks sharp! Can you measure the length of the stems so I can see if they will clear the fairing on the Daytona? (Or maybe someone has already mounted them on the front of a faired T3.) I know they are longer in the front than in the rear. If they are long enough, I think I've found my new signals. Thanks!

In the link I already posted, someone mentions having a problem with fairings. Scroll down in the thread. Someone posted pictures.
The signals I put on do not appear long enough.

Mine are long enough but I did have to put spacers over the threaded posts to get them out far enough.

Inch & three quarters from the edge of the lens to the mounting surface.

Thanks! It's definitely too short, but someone mentioned on the other thread you posted that Buell makes one with a longer post. I'll have to look into that. Either that or make up a spacer.
