G'day
I posted the following over in the Daytona section, by way of intro and to ask a couple of questions but looks like I might be more at home over here so I'll chuck the link in here and ask another one.
http://www.triumphrat.net/daytona-de...uple-of-s.html
I had a search through but couldn't find anything about changing the indicators(turn signals) on a D12. I'm not much good when it comes to things electrical, hoping to find something a bit smaller and sleeker, that are plug and play. Any suggestions appreciated.
Cheers
Ross.

all indicators are pretty much plug and play, it only really makes a difference if you get led indicators, and all you have to do is get the polarity right.its not going to break anything if you get the polarity wrong, they just wont work, so just swap the cables round.
it is better to stay with standard bulb indi's as led's will also require a change of flasher relay, or resisters being soldered into the indi power cables to rectify fast flashing

Welcome to the T3 forum, rossc0.
You may find more help here than in the Daytona area, simply because the newer bikes outnumber older ones by a significant margin there. (Of course Roden managed to find you over there, & he's one of our top guys.)
As Daytona 750 says, it's easiest to stay with the regular indicators. Some of the higher-quality LED indicators have a resistor built-in, but they can get real pricey real fast. I don't know about availability in Oz, but here in the states Buell indicators are a popular swap.
Those 'busa calipers will be a nice upgrade for you!
Cheers,
-Kit

Kit, you are too kind.
rossc0, I put some aftermarket indicators on my Sprint which are similar in shape to the originals but smaller. They have halogen globes, not leds and are nice and bright. They are Oxford brand, about $30 a pair.
I got them from Metropolitan Spares in Silverwater (Sydney) but you can probably get them at most bike shops.
They had bullet connectors which didn't match the original connector so I crimped some new connectors onto the bike's wiring. Easy job.
I'll post up a pic as soon as I find my camera...
Cheers,
Roden

personally i havent been able to find a set of indi's that i like more than the standards, they suit the bike very well, ie, they are large, and bulky!but also nicely shaped! and alot better than the standard ones of most bikes of that age!

Thanks for that, that would be good, if its just a case or crimping on some spade connectors or something like that I think I may manage

Thats all I did mate, just bared the wires and crimped on connectors. They look pretty cool.
Sorry about the pics, they are not cool, but hopefully you get the general idea.
Cheers,
Roden
