Rear suspension for a '95 Trident

As of this afternoon, my beloved '95 Trident has 99,930 miles on it. Weather permitting, I'll turn over the century sometime tomorrow. At this point, the bike is still almost all original (clutch, suspension, engine, transmission) and the only major work I've had to have done on it was the replacement of the infamous sprag clutch at 96,500.

As you can well imagine, some of the systems are starting to show some wear . Big worry at the moment is that the rear shock is getting bloody sloppy, to the point that I'm going to park the bike after tomorrow's ride, until it's brought back up to spec.

What's available out there? Supposedly the original stock shock is available, but Bike Bandit is talking just under a grand. Ouch. Is there anything aftermarket that still being made?

There is no way I'd spend $1K on a stock shock. There are a few options out there that are a much better buy in terms of what you get. Penske has three different offerings for the T3 ranging from $885 to $1695 all with remote reservoirs.

I'm looking for a shock also. Hyperpro recently dropped the big bearing shock. Works shocks still has the "Ultrasport" listed at $789. We're running out of choices.

I've got a Wilbers on mine. German engineering and very happy with it!

Thanks for that tip, Wilbers looks to be affordable.
Which model did you get, the 630 of the 640?
Is it ride height adjustable?

IIRC I got the 640 with the remote preload adjustment. Everything's boxed up ready for a house move next week, so can't check the paperwork to confirm. You can get a ride height adjustment thingummy as an option (99Euros) but I didn't bother with it as I find the Daytona very comfy and just right for me at 6 ft 3.
